Summer is just around the corner and all of us at Camp Birch Hill cannot wait to get started with all of the excitement! With less than a month to go until Session 1 begins, I figured that it would be appropriate to start to share some of my favorite days and activities at Birch Hill.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Lou DeAngelis (AKA Sweet Lou) and this is my third summer at Birch Hill.  I am the Adventure Director up at camp and will be working alongside the one and only Chrissy Morell in the camp office this summer. Enough about me though, let’s talk about camp!

Evening Program is one of the coolest parts of the day.  After spending all morning and afternoon participating in the amazing activities we have to offer, the whole camp comes together on the massive fields at Birch Hill.  Everyone listens for the rules, splits into teams and then GO!
  EP
Evening Programs vary from HUGE games of Capture the Flag, Counselor Hunt, Batman VS Superman, Egyptian Water Polo (Ask counselor Nick King about it’s origins), Apocalypse, Fugitive and a new game as of last summer called Fruit Hoops!

All of these Evening Programs are a blast and get ALL of our campers working together as teams to accomplish the goals of each game.  In the end, the cabins on the winning team get Birch Hill Cup Points that can be earned in various activities throughout each session at camp.

Winning or losing is of course No Problem at Birch Hill though, because after Evening Program, everyone gets dessert!

See everyone in a few weeks!       -Lou
